What we take on
An attic becomes a useful room when three conditions are met: safe access, enough height and a structure that takes the weight. We check those points before drawing, rather than discovering the problem during the work.
We then take on the stair or the opening, partitions, plastering, insulation, electricity and, if the project includes one, the bathroom. Roof windows bring in light. Materials and waste are moved without blocking the rest of the house.

The questions we hear most often before quoting.
Often yes: the conversion changes the habitable floor area, sometimes the roof or the facade, and rules differ by municipality and region. A roof window, a floor opening or an outside stair can also require authorisation. We point out what to check before starting.
Yes, if height, access and insulation allow it, and if the room has a safe escape route and sufficient ventilation. The structure must also carry the new weight. Those checks happen on site, before drawing.
The price depends on the floor area, the state of the roof structure, the insulation, the number of openings and whether a bathroom is included. A bare attic is not priced like a volume already partitioned. The quote details each item.
The 6% rate applies to renovating a private home more than ten years old, used as a dwelling for more than 50%, when the contractor invoices the end consumer and materials and labour appear on the same invoice. Other situations are at 21%. The exact conditions are set by the FPS Finance.
